Project Summary

Denmark has been the world leader in Internet penetration for many years: it was 96,9 % in 2017 (http://www.internetworldstats.com/stats4.htm#europe). In Denmark, a law came into force that eliminated the personal customer services and all the cases have to be managed through remote administration by Internet. As Denmark is at the forefront of digitalisation, participants of our ERASMUS + 15/KA1AE/3340 project could visit Telecentre Danmark and get acquainted with the organization’s adult training system, its legal background, programs, effective training organization and their software. They have gained useful information on how, by what methods they reach the elderly people, the hard-to-reach strata of the society and how generations can help each other. They could study their network of educational activities and marketing activities.
We learned from the Danes that with the help of volunteer helpers of the same age group they reach the elderly, the hard-to-reach strata of the society, since we are the last in Europe in elderly Internet usage. The main reason for this, according to a 2005 study (http://www.05.ibm.com/hu/social/idos/dn/kutatas.pdf), lies in the fact that the Hungarian companies were not, or very little, sacrificed to the further training of an aging population. The age group affected by the survey has now become retired.

The purpose of the application was:
– reducing the vulnerability of aging society
– creating possibility for the elderly people to keep contact with friends and family members in an inexpensive way
– making possible for elderly people with limited mobility to manage their things without traveling
– lesser burdens for younger family members who always have a shortage of time
– providing meaningful activities for elderly people

The aim of the project was to train such elderly (beyond 60 years old) and young (between 18 and 30 years old) teamleaders, who are capable to build relationships and teams after the training in their own communities in the field of elderly training, including the use of Infocommunication Techniques and Senior Adult Counseling.
