Project Summary
The project aims to engage the disabled youth from rural areas to active social and public life, providing them with new opportunities for becoming financially and socially independent by means of entrepreneurship tools and starting their own business in agritourism in the place of their residence; to provide the skill of professionalization to youth workers, incl. the disabled in the field of social entrepreneurship in rural tourism using the program tools and materials (Manual and web portal) elaborated within on-going ERTSYD project in order to promote conducting similar trainings at the local and national level for disabled youth and their families on how to start one’s own business in the rural tourism sector. To provide the sustainability of the results already achieved and to give new impetus to capacity building activities in the field of youth, we have developed this project proposal by the consortium of 4 reliable and time-proved partners (Ukraine, Moldova, Georgia, Germany).The implementation of the project consists of series of connected activities which lead to achievement of the main goal mentioned above: Capacity Building Activities: “KICK-OFF” Coordination Meeting in Ukraine and MoldovaFinal Conferences on the project results and press conferences in all partner countriesFour five-minute video on best practices of entrepreneurship in rural tourism in each national version) on the best practices of entrepreneurship activity of persons with disabilities in the rural tourismTechnical support and updating the web portal Mobility Activities:4 Transnational activities: in Ukraine, Moldova, Germany, Georgia:”Social entrepreneurship in the field of agritourism” – training of youth and youth workers on how to start their own business in the rural area as well as to conduct the trainings in the field of social entrepreneurship as a method of youth inclusion for active citizenship, with a particular focus on agritourism Youth exchange for disabled young people from rural areas on the importance of sustainable, inclusive tourism, sharing successful practices in rural entrepreneurship.Expected results: 4 trainings, 1 Youth Exchange, 3 two day conferences with involvement of 60 participants in each (180 in total) as well as 4 press conferences will be organized.96 young people will be trained (48 – with disabilities) on legal and practical aspects on social entrepreneurship and inclusive agritourism and how to start their own business in rural area, 48 of them (youth workers) are to be involved in conducting similar trainings for youth with disabilities at their place of residence.*Among 36 participants, 20 of those with fewer opportunities will take part in Youth Exchange and become familiar with the successful practices of entrepreneurship activity of persons with disabilities in the rural tourism sector.In general, 312 participants, including 152 with disabilities will be involved in the project activities.
